Retail window displays are extremely important for luring customers into a store. 1. Use good lighting

Many stores simply rely on their normal overhead lighting to light their window displays. However, this is a mistake. Instead, you should get some small spot lights that you can use to light your window displays. This is because this type of lighting will help your display to catch the eye of passersby in a better fashion.

2. Focus on eye-level

You do not want to display your products too low, or too high. If you do, then you could reduce the chances of people walking by really noticing your products, and stopping to look at them. If your store window is above the normal street level, then you can measure eye level by having someone stand outside the window on the street. You should not keep the same display for too long. The reason is because it can become boring for your customers. People can get used to it, and then it is not exciting anymore. This is the opposite of what you want. So, to make sure you have great window displays, update them and change them periodically. This can help to keep things fresh and interesting.

4. Focus on seasonality

A lot of people shop in accordance with the season. For example, in spring, many people will shop for spring clothing, spring furniture for their decks, fresh spring vegetables, etc. So, you can capitalize on seasonal shopping patterns by making sure that your retail window displays are appropriate and decorated for the season.
